Pain compared to physical pain
What is pain compared to physical pain, torture, bones
snapping, skin ripping, muscles and sinew tearing, losing consciousness and
regaining it
Being shot
cut by a knife
crushed by a car
What is pain compared to physical pain when I sit hours,
minutes, seconds just moments without hearing your voice
So tell me what is pain compared to physical pain?
The gnawing of my spirit when you are not around.
But, give me the torture, the sweet torture if I could see
you for awhile.
This aching loneliness overcomes anything else I feel
This despair when I don’t know if you are ok.
